Volunteer Training Classes
Coastal Plain CASA hosts volunteer training classes twice a year, in the Spring and Fall, welcoming new advocates into our CASA family.
UPCOMING VOLUNTEER TRAINING CLASS
2026 Spring CASA Volunteer Training
Our Spring Volunteer Training provides individuals with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to advocate effectively for children in foster care. This comprehensive training prepares volunteers to serve as a consistent voice for a child’s best interests within the court system.
Orientation for our 2026 Spring Volunteer Training will take place on February 2nd at the CASA Office in Downtown Tifton.
Training classes will meet every Monday for six weeks, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
SWEARING-IN CEREMONIES
After completing training, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are officially sworn in as officers of the court. This meaningful ceremony represents their commitment to advocating for children in the foster care system and marks the beginning of their role as a trusted voice for abused and neglected children.
As sworn advocates, CASA volunteers work to ensure that each child’s best interests are heard and considered throughout the court process.
