I love being a wife to my high school sweetheart and boy next door, Josh. My children Jack and Mary Jo add so much joy to my life. I have a deep desire to travel all the time. I love to people-watch, especially when in different cities and countries. Introverted until my interests are peaked or someone needs help. I will speak up to make sure other people are well cared for, often to a fault. I am passionate about showing people that feel unloved that they are in fact loved and cared for, especially children.

I have been with CASA for 12.5 years on staff. I was a volunteer for 6 months, an advocacy coordinator for 5 years, and Executive Director for 7.5 years. I started as a volunteer to get out of the house. I was a stay-at-home mom and wanted to use my Sociology degree. As a volunteer, I was able to see the tremendous impact that a CASA can have on a child's case. I wanted to make sure EVERYONE knew about CASA and how important it is to the children we serve and our community. In 12.5 years, not much surprises me. I think that can bring a sense of calm when others may feel like the house is on fire. Calm heads can do way more good than a full-force fire hose trying to put out dumpster fires. I LOVE my job most days. It is so very hard but so very worth it if I can help one child.
