I have been with CASA as an Advocacy Coordinator for three years. Before that, I was a foster mother for several years. My husband and I adopted two boys which completed our family of five children. I have a deep passion for child advocacy and helping families thrive. My desire is to serve our CASA children well by advocating for their best interests and needs while in foster care. I absolutely love our CASA volunteers, they are not only incredible child advocates but are also considered great friends. I chose to work for CASA because this is my dream job! My experience as a foster mother gave me insight into the trauma that children endure due to abuse and neglect. Although I was able to advocate for some as a foster parent, working with CASA allows me to help advocate for so many more children as well as help teach others how to be that much-needed voice for the children we serve in foster care.
